Power Usage and the Sharp TV

Circuit City Tip: It's not something most TV makers use as a selling point, but power consumption is an important factor in the cost of your television over time. If you watch a lot of television or DVDs, consider a Sharp TV because the power usage is one of the lowest. However, it's important to know that plasma televisions typically use the most power, while rear-projection technology provides the most efficiency. There are disadvantages to more efficiency, though. Rear-projection may cost you less on your electricity bill, but the picture isn't as bright as with other types of televisions. Be sure to consider the variables: size of screen, power and brightness, even if power consumption is a concern.
